800th anniversary exhibition, North Porch, Salisbury Cathedral.
The works Munro has chosen to create in the Alcoves of the North Porch of Salisbury cathedral are interior and exterior portraits of the cathedral. The filmic data is taken from a compilation of 360 degree iPhone panoramas photographed in the 800th anniversary year of the cathedral, abstracted into pixels, which are then recomposed. The process correlates to Munro’s awareness that his interpretation of experience is perpetually in a state of flux.
As a series, Time and Place artworks will continue to evolve; like time itself, it is always a work-in-progress.
