Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens, part of the Rockford Park District in Rockford, Illinois are to host a Bruce Munro Exhibition. Opening in June 2017 the exhibition will be Munro’s eighth solo garden exhibition in the US. Serving as the backdrop for eight light based sculptures, including iteration of the iconic “Field of Light” and “Water-Towers”, the gardens will also debut two new works created for the venue; Sun, a monumental globe suspended in the Conservatory and Don’s Flamingos, a flock of flamingos as a playful homage to Don Featherstone the creator is the ubiquitous pink flamingo.
The exhibition is due to open on 3 June 2017 through to 5 November 2017.
